As I was making Mother’s Day cards this year to send all over the United States, I realized I have so many mothers to be thankful for in my life.
I have a wonderful mother in law, Robin, who loves and spoils Brad and I very much. I have Joyce, Brad’s grandmother, who is the grandmother I can barely remember having. I have my “Second Mother”, Miss Susan, who has been there for me and for my family for as long as I can remember. I am so blessed to have her to hold onto and share memories with. I have a step mother in law who I look forward to getting to know better, AND I have a sister in law who is the newest mother on my list who, as expected, is turning out to be a wonderful mom to little Max!
I love you all very much and I am so grateful to have so many loving, strong, and encouraging women in my life.
Of course, I am also incredibly blessed to have my own mother, who is one of my best friends in the world. She is an amazing woman who is loving, caring, strong, funny, sarcastic, emotional, and brilliant. I am so lucky to be raised by both her and my incredible father. Thank you, mom, for always being there for me, for teaching me, and for letting me learn from my mistakes before having the right words to help pick me up. I don’t know how you do it all, but I am constantly impressed and inspired by you. Especially in the past few months, you amaze me with your strength and ability to take a deep breath and do the right thing, even when days get a little shaky. On my hardest days, you are always there with me through the words you have to said me in many rough times: “Just keep breathing.”
You are such a good woman and I try to live my life by your lead. I love you!
To all of the mothers who give all of your love to your children, thank you. There is nothing at all like a mother’s love and support, and the world is a better place because of you. I know most of us kids didn’t make it easy on you!
I hope all of you mothers get a whole lot of pampering and love today! I know I’ll be hugging every mother I can and I’ll be counting down the days until I can hug all six of my ‘mothers’ again!
xoxo
