I completely left you all hanging with my 5 Happy Things post.  I dangled my dress search and my party excitement in front of you.  And then I made you wait to hear all about it.

As my mom told me yesterday, my “East Coast fan club wants to hear all about it!!”

So here it is.  From the top of the Ritz in downtown Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Magazine’s Best of LA Winner’s Party.

Where we looked over our neighbors at the Staples Center

And found a quiet corner to watch a gorgeous sunset over the mountains

I loved loved loved my summer maxi dress

And especially the funky shoes I got to go with them

Brad looked handsome, as usual.

But mostly, the night was about celebrating these two guys and all of their hard work at Bar Pintxo.

They even got interviewed by a small film crew

I mean, look at how awesome these guys look.  You’d definitely want to eat their Spanish food just by looking at them.

I got one blurry picture of all of us, which can’t barely capture the excitement and pride that we were all oozing that night.So I didn’t take nearly enough pictures, and I didn’t eat nearly enough to absorb the celebratory wine we were drinking.  But as my mom also said yesterday, this is not nearly the last event like this we will be attending.

Being a celebrity (or a celebrity’s wife) takes practice.  Next time I will know that “Hor d’oeuvres” means bite sized desserts and sushi that was gone in the blink of an eye.  Next time I will eat a full meal before getting onto the red carpet.  Screw those models and their day-of diets.
