Oh my gosh.
After weekends like this one, I swear off drinking for a few days. Then I get home from a long day at work and see that bottle of wine with just a couple glasses left in it…
It never lasts.
I know it’s a little late, but I am finally getting around to sharing how thankful I am with you. I still have leftovers in the fridge, so Thanksgiving isn’t really over yet, right?
So, in addition to all the things I’ve already declared to be thankful for, I’m adding these to the list:
I am thankful for a bigger apartment that comfortably slept 6 humans and 1 pup all weekend.
I am thankful for the bouncer who took pity on a girl who lost her wallet and really is over 21.
I am thankful for my mom’s sweet potato casserole recipe.
I am thankful for Suzi’s Monkey Bread that stopped us from eating all of the Thanksgiving Day food.
I am thankful for my west coast family, who makes being away for the holidays a little less hard.
I am thankful for the Farmer’s Market.
I am thankful for the Toasts
I am thankful for drunken pumpkin pie making traditions.
I am thankful for a wonderful husband who is also amazingly passionate about pork.
I am thankful for a new amazing pecan pie recipe.
I am thankful for the pictures on my phone that pieced together the more fuzzy parts of the weekend.
I am thankful for how sleepy the pup is today now that all of the company is gone.
And, as always, I am very thankful for all of you who read and enjoy my little blog here.
Now I’m off to finish off the cranberries and ring in the Christmas season. Maybe with that glass of wine…
xoxo
